This oil is particularly rich in olelic acid – omega 9 (59.2%) a monounsaturated fatty acid that resists heat and oxidation. It contains essential fatty acids, linoleic acid omega 6 (26.7%) and linolenic acid omega 3 (2.8%). Such a profile contributes to a better balance between mono and polyunsaturates equal to 2.0 that guarantee the bio-availability of essential fatty acids.

Health benefit
It’s rich in olelic acid – omega 9 and contains a natural antioxidant complex made from rosemary, polyphenols, sesamine, vitamin E and organic sunflower lecithin. These bio-active agents have an anti-radical effect against lipids and cellular membranes. Its composition is unique thanks to the synergetic action of the anti-oxidants that prevent the alteration of the fatty acids in the oil.
Used for cooking and deep-frying.

Way ahead

Our range of organic oils meets the demands of Public Health and will help you to re-establish the right balance between omega6/omega3.

What is a dietetic oil?
It’s a balanced product that is naturally rich in essential fatty acids (omega 6 and omega 3) aimed at all consumers to ensure their well-being.

Why use Philippe Vigean organic oil?
Because the way we have developed our dietetic oils is based on epidemogical, scientific and medical studies. Our diet these days has become far too rich in omega 6, which is not normal for someone suffering from cardiovascular problems. The actual balance between omega6/omega3 is situated around 15 to 20 whereas the ideal level is 5. Nutritionists recommend that we balance our diet by introducing a sufficient supply of omega 3 and a better omega 6/omega 3 balance.

How do dietetic oils correct this unbalance?
Most vegetable oils contain essential fatty acids in variable proportions. In certain cases, an intake of all of these essential fatty acids in sufficient quantity is advised to ensure optimal functioning of the organism. Our dietetic oils carry two families of essential fatty acids (omega6/omega3) in balanced quantities. The presence of metabolites will activate the delta-6 desaturase, the key enzyme of the essential fatty acid metabolism. It is important to note that too much omega 6 has a negative effect on health particularly for people with a risk of cardiovascular illness or other pathologies such as diabetes, eczema etc. To correct this unbalance, you should have a diversified diet including complimentary oils rich in omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 with a good balance between omega6/omega3.
