André, the founder, starts the first millstone in 1930, Philippe, his son combines traditional handicraft with technological advance. Working meticulously, he is a real landsman aiming at excellence. Defending these family values, Eric embodies the third generation. Always ready, this wise epicurean is both a craftsman and an artist. Knowing what the perfect balance is, he selects his suppliers on the most scrupulous way. Lively, incisive, consumed by his passion, he wonderfully hides his sense for perfection which enabled him to be "Maître artisan huilier” and to obtain the national EPV award (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), symbol of know-how and French excellence. His family oil mill is deeply rooted in the 21st century; preserving the environment by controlling drastically the origins of the raw material.

Organic French olive oil

Our organic French olive oil is produced at the heart of Provence with green olives severely selected for their taste and their organoleptic characteristics. This oil gives off intense herbaceous and green fruity flavours (green apple). It is a harmonious and well-balanced oil, combining a slight peppery touch and a noticeable bitterness that enhance your salads and raw vegetables remembering the Mediterranean flavours.

EPV diploma

December 18th 2012, the Vigean oil mill has been awarded the precious EPV certification (Living Heritage Company).

Collège culinaire de France

 

A delicious honour for Eric Vigean awarded "quality artisan producer” by the prestigious Collège Culinaire de France during summer 2015. Composed of the best French chefs, this organization is to represent, promote and pass on the identity of French cuisine, producers and artisans of excellence. They represent the first link in the food chain, able to guarantee the quality served in plates. The Collège culinaire made a list of professional perpetuating a traditional know-how, and VIGEAN oil mill is proud to be one of them.
