Chinese cabbage

  • 2 Chinese cabbage
  • 2-3 slices of bacon
  • 10 grams of fresh ginger
  • 3 ladles of vegetable broth
  • 6 grinds of pepper of Timut (pepper Nepal that a citrus flavour)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • After 4 1/2 tbsp Essence de vie oil Vigean

According to a recipe from Frédérique Cailloce, culinary advisor Vigean

To do today:
  1. Cut your bacon into small pieces, fry and brown in a frying pan
  2. Meanwhile :
    • Wash your cabbage, drain and then cut into small pieces
    • Peel and cut your ginger into small pieces.
  3. When your smoked pork is cooked, discard the excess fat, add the cabbage and ginger, pour in the vegetable stock to the top of your stove, then cook over medium heat for ¼ hour. Drain, your cabbage stem should remain slightly crunchy, if necessary add a few minutes of cooking.
  4. Serve on individual plates, salt and pepper and add your ½ tablespoon  Essence de vie oil on each plate. Serve immediately.
